Premier Inn Bedford Town Centre

No one on checking. Vary erie. Breakfast not worth 10.99. Over cooked..congealed beans. Couldn't eat it. Black pudding burnt to a crisp.sausages burnt couldn't cut them. Only decent part was nice bedroom and bath. And had soya milk as I'm allergic.

We stayed at this hotel before and it was okay. On this visit, we can't fault the staff, but the stench in the entrance, lift areas, and reception was overpowering. This is why we didn't book breakfast. From checking previous reviews.. this looks like a longstanding problem. It smells a bit like boiled cabbage... difficult to know what it is. The management needs to sort it out. The premier inn beds are smaller.. and not as comfortable as the hypnos mattresses. After staying at this Premier Inn several times, our stay this time was disappointing.

The best thing I can honestly say is how amazing the staff and breakfast were, Michele in the kitchen was amazing, I like my bacon extra crispy and she catered too that need for me, the breakfast buffet was always topped up, never had too ask for anything to be refilled! 10/10 would recommend!

The hotel was fine for what we needed. It was a one night stay for an event in the town. Great location and carpark right opposite which was very reasonable. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There were a few small issues but nothing that spoilt our stay. We were on the 6th floor and one of the lifts was out of order all of the time we were there. This meant quite a wait for the lift or a long walk up as there were only 2. Luckily we are all quite fit but could be a problem if you weren't. Some stuff missing from the tea and coffee tray in our room. We realised in the morning that we only had 1 mug on the tray so we shared. There was a strong smell of **** at the entrance to the hotel every time we went in and out. We appreciate this may be outside the control of the hotel and may just be a one off. On the whole we would stay again.

Wonderful location by the river. Immaculate room and facilities - everything appeared to be up to date and in good condition. The breakfast - awesome! The ingredients were superb quality and perfect - if Lorna cooks for you, you’ve struck gold!
